Coronavirus: The True Christian Response

The true Christian response in the midst of a difficult circumstance is to pray.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians 4:6)

The verb translated “be careful” carries the idea of “being anxious” or “being worried”. Rather than have that response, Christians are to pray.

Let’s pray that an effective vaccine is developed. Let’s pray that medical staffs would find other treatments which give relief to those suffering. And let’s pray for all the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff working with patients afflicted by COVID-19.  (No need to lay your hand on a TV.  No need to place blind faith in a charlatan.  Just simple faith in the God of creation will do just fine.)
