Marriage Equality Debate Heats Up

Here is an atheist doing exactly what he’s accusing Christians of doing—promoting misinformation, using bad logic, and ignoring basic facts.  http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/06/15/christian-pundit-desperately-tries-to-equate-same-sex-marriage-to-polygamy-child-brides-video/  Here’s one example, he faults Cal Thomas for pointing out what I think is obvious—that changing the law regarding marriage can lead to a whole bunch of other “non-traditional” marriage rights being fought for (polygamy, adult-child marriage, etc.).  But he simply states that there are laws against polygamy and adult-child marriage and considers the debate closed.  However, he ignores the fact that there are laws in many states prohibiting homosexual marriage!  If those laws can be overturned, so can the ones governing polygamy and adult-child marriage!

Here’s modern “tolerance” at its best.  If you act on your beliefs like Franklin Graham, you are a hater and you’re not following Jesus.  http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/06/11/anti-lgbt-minister-franklin-graham-hates-for-jesus.html  Everyone knows that Jesus would just be fine with homosexual marriage.  Why, just read Matthew 19 to see what he taught about marriage.  Wait.  Scratch that.  Jesus actually supports traditional marriage.  Oops!
And this dude is supposed to be on the traditional marriage side, but he’s not helping matters at all.  http://www.rawstory.com/2015/06/arizona-pastor-prays-for-god-to-rip-out-caitlyn-jenners-heart-i-hate-him-with-a-perfect-hatred/  Here’s one “gem” from this guy, “I have no love for this Bruce freak. I hope he dies today, I hope he dies and goes to Hell – he’s disgusting, he’s filthy, he’s reprobate.”  Wow.  I have no use for this brand of Christianity.  He really is a hater.  Yes, Jenner is a reprobate, but so were we all before we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Now we’re sinners saved by grace.  Perhaps this pastor should remember that.  It is also stated that he only teaches from the 1611 edition of the King James Bible.  I really doubt that.  I have a reprint of the 1611 edition and I’m quite sure that this pastor wouldn’t be able to read 17th century English. Just sayin’.
