Kepler Spacecraft Finds Planet in the “Habitable Zone”

NASA has spent a ton of money to find habitable planets where alien life could have spontaneously appeared (like it is assumed to have happened on Earth).

I have mixed feelings about all of this.  I love discovering more about what God has created (observational science), but I am overwhelmed by the absurdity of the interpretation of this discovery.  The search for alien life to supposedly “prove” evolution and the natural origin of life by scientists seems desperate.  The article above uses words like “likelihood”, “uncertainties”, “probably”, “hope”, “possible”, and “potentially”.  This is not science—it is a belief system.
Here is a concise response by Answers in Genesis which I thought was helpful.
One question I have for the secular scientists is: If life is not found on this planet which has been supposedly in the habitable zone billions of years longer than Earth, will you consider that evidence for special creation on Earth?  I think I know what their answer would be and that’s sad.
