Who Is Like God?

Isaiah 40:18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

He Made the Stars Also

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

This one verse may contain the most understated fact in all the Bible.  After stating that God created a greater light to rule the day (the Sun) and a lesser light to rule the night (the Moon), it states that God “made the stars also”.  That is the first and only time stars are mentioned in the creation narrative. The Word Was God

John 1:1-3

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 The same was in the beginning with God.  3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In John’s writings, he often refers to Jesus Christ as “the Word”.  Jesus is the living Word of God.  He is the only Person Who lived up to the standards of God’s Word while on the Earth.  When He spoke, people heard the Word of God.  For these reasons and more, Jesus is truly “the Word”.
